Ideas to Help This Trader Visiting from Canada Beat FOMO: Overcoming Fear of Missing Out

BellaBella Daily Update

Brandon visited from Canada today, driving 8 hours just to sit in on a mentoring session at our firm in NYC.  The summer is an excellent time to visit us in NYC and sit in on a mentoring session, with our summer intern class.  Just reach out to our floor manager for an invite- [email protected].

Brandon has been struggling with FOMO (fear of missing out).  I asked the summer interns during our lunch visit together for help in helping Brandon.  One Senior Intern counseled, “There is always another trade so do not take ones you do not have to.”  Good advice.

In this video, Sit with your trading identity, I share how one elite trader developed a method that we can all use to fight FOMO, overtrading, sizing, and missing trades.

I have noticed and said so in this video, When elite active traders trade at their best, that elite traders trade at their best when they fight for price.  They enter at excellent prices so their risk/reward is asymmetrical.

Your personal integrity calls for you to be your best.  I discuss this during a chat with Axia Futures in this video, while in London.  Do no accept anything less than your best from yourself.

Scheduled breaks that are placed on your calendar to recharge and reset have helped many traders.

Mindfulness training, start with Headspace?, is a best practice to consider adding to your daily routine to conquer this hurdle.

If you are struggling like Brandon with some of these trading challenges, try these ideas above.

I hope they help.
