On September 18, 2026, SMB Capital is hosting a special afternoon and evening in NYC to honor Seth’s career. It is part trading conference, part reunion, and part heartfelt send-off for one of the most influential mentors on our desk.
Who is Seth Freudberg?
Since 2010, Seth has been the heartbeat of SMB’s options desk. As Director of the SMB Options Training Program, he has mentored over 100 traders and served as the voice behind more than a decade of weekly options meetings. For anyone who has come up through SMB’s options program, Seth’s teaching has left a mark. This event is our chance to say thank you, celebrate everything he built, and sneak in one final question.
The Conference: Finding Edge in the Noise
The afternoon opens with a live trading session led by Nick Salvatore: Iron Butterflies, Overextensions, and High Probability Trade Selection.
Most traders spend their time searching for setups. Professional traders spend their time searching for edge. Nick breaks down two of his favorite approaches for identifying high probability opportunities, using real data, backtesting, and live examples. He will cover:
- Identifying overextended market conditions
- Finding high-probability premium-selling opportunities
- Iron Butterfly trade construction and management
- Market environments that improve or reduce expectancy
- Using data and backtesting to make better trading decisions
- Common mistakes and lessons learned from live trading
