Adam Grimes has 13 years of experience in the industry as a trader, analyst and system developer. He began his career trading agricultural futures, eventually moving over to focus on currency and stock index futures. In addition to his work as a trader on SMB Capital’s Manhattan prop desk, he has held the positions of VP of Quantitative System Development at Level Partners, LLC, Senior Analyst and Trader at MBF Asset Management, and currently is Director of Tactical Investments for Waverly Advisors, LLC where he writes a daily market letter focusing on trading opportunities in the global macro arena (www.themacroreport.com).
Adam holds an MBA from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University with an emphasis in Trading and Market Microstructure and had a previous career as a classical musician before becoming a full-time trader. His blogs will focus on his transition to intraday equity trading, the learning experience he went through as a new trader on SMB’s desk, as well as a variety of bigger picture technical factors and macroeconomic influences on Markets.
