{"id":7784,"date":"2010-10-20T16:31:52","date_gmt":"2010-10-20T20:31:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/?p=7784"},"modified":"2010-10-20T16:33:28","modified_gmt":"2010-10-20T20:33:28","slug":"cree-48-60-and-how-you-find-the-most-important-level","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/cree-48-60-and-how-you-find-the-most-important-level","title":{"rendered":"CREE, 48.60 and How You Find the Most Important Level"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After the close yesterday CREE reported. \u00a0Immediately CREE traded lower from 53ish to 47.50. \u00a0But there was a level more important than all others. \u00a0I tweeted it. \u00a0Twice! \u00a0And it was the level of all levels.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/tweet.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7785\" title=\"tweet\" src=\"http:\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/tweet.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"541\" height=\"91\" srcset=\"\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/tweet.png 541w, \/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/tweet-300x50.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 541px) 100vw, 541px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Besides cherry picking an example to pump myself up \ud83d\ude42 how do you find this most important level? \u00a0Mike don&#8217;t I just look on my long term charts and find these spots? \u00a0Nope. \u00a0Mike don&#8217;t I just take out the 200MA and trade from there? \u00a0Nope. \u00a0Bella don&#8217;t I overlay\u00a0Fibonacci\u00a0indicators and sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride? \u00a0Nope. \u00a0Well sometimes.<\/p>\n<p>Levels after important events are what I am after. \u00a0Yesterday CREE held the longer term 47.50 level. \u00a0It didn&#8217;t really hold it so much as it never went below. \u00a048 was important. \u00a049 and 49.20 were not uninteresting. \u00a0But it was the 48.60 level that was most important. \u00a0Why?<\/p>\n<p>So CREE traded much lower in the AH (after hours). \u00a047.50 is a long term support level. \u00a0After the downmove there was a battle at 48 with the buyers victorious. \u00a0Then CREE had trouble trading above 48.30. \u00a0We cleared this level. \u00a0And now for those versed in AH trading it was higher ground until a serious seller stopped us.<\/p>\n<p>Well at 48.60 we found this seller. \u00a048.50 was a huge buyer as well. \u00a0And the buyers and the sellers fought. \u00a0Man did that offer hold at 48.60. \u00a0Finally the 48.50 bid dropped and we traded lower. \u00a0There was a ton of volume done at 48.60. \u00a0But there was something more. \u00a0Psychology.<\/p>\n<p>The longs were paying and paying hard as they expected 50. \u00a0The seller was sticking his neck out as CREE was starting to go back up. \u00a0And the seller just stuck the offer.<\/p>\n<p>So we had a seller at an unexpected price. \u00a0We had a seller who was getting in the way before 50, so at a much lower price than we expected. \u00a0CREE was starting to go back up, dare I say starting to trend up AH? \u00a0There was a ton of volume done at 48.60. \u00a0And initially CREE failed hard from this price. \u00a0And the sellers just putting the breaks on at this 48.60 level. \u00a0Strange.<\/p>\n<p>So that is how we found that level.<\/p>\n<p>Mike Bellafiore<\/p>\n<p>Author, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/One-Good-Trade-Competitive-Proprietary\/dp\/0470529407\/ref=sr_1_cc_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1287606475&amp;sr=1-1-catcorr\">One Good Trade<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/CREE-level.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7786\" title=\"CREE level\" src=\"http:\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/CREE-level.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"507\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/CREE-level.png 845w, \/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/CREE-level-300x195.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 507px) 100vw, 507px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After the close yesterday CREE reported. \u00a0Immediately CREE traded lower from 53ish to 47.50. \u00a0But there was a level more important than all others. \u00a0I tweeted it. \u00a0Twice! \u00a0And it was the level of all levels.
