Traders,<\/span><\/h2>\n

I hope you\u2019ve all had a wonderful weekend.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Thursday\u2019s IA meeting came at the perfect time, as I went over the potential for a significant bounce to play on Friday across the AI basket. If you missed that meeting, I urge you to go back and review Friday’s action and my comments from Thursday ahead of Friday\u2019s action-packed morning.<\/span><\/p>\n

With earnings season getting well underway this week, with a couple of mega-caps reporting, things should pick up nicely into the end of the month. I still maintain a move2move trader\u2019s mindset<\/em>, rather than a positioning\/swing mindset, which I believe remains the right course of action going forward.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alphabet and Tesla report on Wednesday, followed by Intel on Thursday.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s get into some of my favorite ideas for the upcoming week.<\/span><\/p>\n

2-Way Trading in SOXL<\/b>: We couldn\u2019t have asked for a better setup on Friday in SOXL, and many individual names related to AI storage, memory, etc. However, after the mixed action across the board into the close, I want to be careful not to get too biased toward the long side for continuation, especially ahead of key earnings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So, Initial thoughts on Monday: if we don\u2019t get a major gap in either direction, key levels from Friday should hold, and looking for momentum long scalps. For example, I\u2019d want to see the 2-day VWAP (from Friday) hold as support, or look for a pullback toward 127-130 and a subsequent reclaim to get long.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If, on the other hand, we gap up and hold near\/above Friday\u2019s high, I would be open to long scalps but with tight risk and not a trade-to-hold given the distance traveled from Friday\u2019s low in a short amount of time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alternatively, if a gap fails early, or we open flat and hold weak sub-intraday\/2-day VWAP, and we see Friday\u2019s low in key performers begin to retest and fail, I would be looking for momentum short scalps until the structure breaks. As I said, I\u2019m not married in either direction.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, following on broadly from SOXL, of course there are a number of individual names to focus on as well, from<\/span> SNDK to MU, DRAM, INTC, to NBIS<\/b>, etc. I can\u2019t cover them all, so let\u2019s just go over 1 individual name:<\/span><\/p>\n

Momentum Trading in NBIS<\/b>: Great vehicle, among others, on Friday. Again, I don\u2019t want to get married to the idea that we have to bounce for multiple days, so I\u2019ll be wary of that and reactive only to price action. Ideally, though, I\u2019d love buyers to step in on dips on Monday, near 175+, and to see action firm up above the 2-day \/ 180. If I notice firm action across the basket, I\u2019d look to get long on a range-break for a re-test of Friday\u2019s high. If that occurs, thereafter, I\u2019d trail with a tight stop until the structure breaks, for example. On the short side, the same plan as mentioned above in SOXL.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One name that displayed notable weakness in the close relative to its peers was <\/span>SNDK<\/b>. If initial weakness and failure to hold key levels play out, I\u2019d be most inclined to short SNDK if we take out\/hold weak under Friday\u2019s low, for continuation, with the 100-day acting as a potential magnet on the downside.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Another scenario that could be ideal and create a potential intraday springboard would be an initial flush underneath Friday\u2019s low, followed by an intraday reclaim and pushback toward Friday\u2019s high\u2026 just something to think about.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Failed Follow Through in VEEE<\/b>: Great long scalp opportunity on Friday for the squeeze out through highs. However, following the reversal and weak close, I\u2019m inclined to look for pops back toward the mid-40s to fail. If we get any pushback into that supply zone, I\u2019d look for confirmation of failure and a well-defined level to short against for a move back toward Friday\u2019s lows\/low 30s.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
