Pockets of swing opportunities still exist, like the Bitcoin (MSTR, IBIT) short from the last watchlist, and combined with intraday opportunities, they made for a really strong week. I\u2019ll stick with this approach until the market shifts. It\u2019s undoubtedly a traders&#8217; market right now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So, coming into the week, here are my top focuses:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Higher Lows \/ Relief Bounce in Tesla<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Fantastic action on Friday in Tesla, finding support and seeing buyers step in near its 200-day. Overall, I\u2019m staying open-minded in this tape and not looking to chase extreme weakness or strength. Instead, suppose Tesla can begin to stabilize over its 2-day VWAP, or confirm a higher low on Monday. In that case, I\u2019d look for an intraday long opportunity for a relief rally over $300 and its declining 5-day. If TSLA bases over $300, I\u2019d continue to look for long intraday opportunities, trailing versus VWAP or 5-minute higher lows. The same thoughts apply to <\/span><b>PLTR<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-57499\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/tsla-1024x549.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"846\" height=\"454\" \/><\/p>\n<p>*<i>Please note that the prices and other statistics on this page are hypothetical, and do not reflect the impact, if any, of certain market factors such as liquidity, slippage and commissions.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Backside in TRNR<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: We\u2019ve been in an environment recently where shorts are beginning to get slightly complacent and stubborn. TRNR\u2019s grind higher provides evidence of that. To be interested for a short I\u2019d like to see this experience failed follow through over Friday\u2019s high. Ideally, I\u2019d like to see an exhaust over $3 and work out any stubborn shorts that are left holding this. After the exhaust, I\u2019d like to see failed follow-through and some lower highs to confirm shifting momentum to get short versus the 5-minute lower high and intraday resistance, for a fade back toward $2.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-57498\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/trnr-1024x550.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"846\" height=\"454\" srcset=\"\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/trnr-1024x550.png 1024w, \/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/trnr-300x161.png 300w, \/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/trnr-768x413.png 768w, \/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/trnr-1536x826.png 1536w, \/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/trnr.png 2048w, \/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/trnr-610x328.png 610w, \/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/trnr-100x54.png 100w, \/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/trnr-846x455.png 846w, \/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/trnr-1184x636.png 1184w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 846px) 100vw, 846px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>*<i>Please note that the prices and other statistics on this page are hypothetical, and do not reflect the impact, if any, of certain market factors such as liquidity, slippage and commissions.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Reactive Trades in Bitcoin<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Unlike last week\u2019s swing short in Bitcoin (IBIT, MSTR), I\u2019m now focused on reactive trades around key levels from last week. If Bitcoin pushes back toward $90k and faces selling pressure, and\/or we begin to see sellers step back into SPY \/ QQQs, I might look for intraday short opportunities. The vehicles of choice would be IBIT and MSTR, ideally toward $280, experiencing failed follow-through. Similarly, any flushes early on in Bitcoin and IBIT toward $46 &#8211; $47 and higher lows, I\u2019d look for potential long scalps.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-57497\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/ibit-1024x546.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"846\" height=\"451\" \/><\/p>\n<p>*<i>Please note that the prices and other statistics on this page are hypothetical, and do not reflect the impact, if any, of certain market factors such as liquidity, slippage and commissions.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Relative Strength in Consumer Staples and Financials<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: Unsurprisingly, staples had notable relative strength recently. XLP itself is shaping up for potential continuation higher over Friday and last week\u2019s high. That\u2019s an area I\u2019ll focus on next week. Within the XLP, many of its top holdings provide interesting setups and will provide insight into whether or not continuation will occur for the overall sector.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-57501\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/xlp-1024x550.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"846\" height=\"454\" \/><\/p>\n<p>*<i>Please note that the prices and other statistics on this page are hypothetical, and do not reflect the impact, if any, of certain market factors such as liquidity, slippage and commissions.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example,\u00a0 COST, its top holding reporting earnings on Thursday, is consolidating in a bullish technical pattern near highs. KO, another top-holding XLP name, is consolidating just 3% off its 52-week highs, presenting a similar potentially skewed risk: reward consolidation breakout long opportunity. I\u2019ll be keeping a close eye on the overall sector and its top holdings next week for a potential long opportunity once I gather for confirmation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-57500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/xlf-1024x548.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"846\" height=\"453\" \/><\/p>\n<p>*<i>Please note that the prices and other statistics on this page are hypothetical, and do not reflect the impact, if any, of certain market factors such as liquidity, slippage and commissions.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Similarly, after Friday\u2019s strong close, financials, or the XLF ETF, is now positioned well for potential follow-through over Friday\u2019s high. I\u2019d like to see a higher low followed by an intraday breakout above Friday\u2019s high for a long opportunity.
