Have you ever made a good trade and regretted you did not make more?\u00a0 And after giving this more thought you concluded that if you could just make more in your best trades you could do SO much better as a trader.\u00a0 And I mean a lot better.\u00a0 In fact, this one issue, might be the thing holding you back from reaching your trading goals.\u00a0 Let me try and help you with this leaning on the work we do at our prop firm in NYC.<\/p>\n
The trading problem<\/strong><\/p>\n During a monthly review, a trader lamented that he didn’t make enough in a terrific trading opportunity.\u00a0 He made some, but not as much as we wanted.\u00a0 Not as much as he deserved.\u00a0 Ever been there?<\/p>\n The trader pinpointed a moment where he could have added to his winning position, but didn’t.\u00a0 The trader surmised this was because he didn’t have enough conviction to add to the trade.\u00a0 I hear this a lot from traders.\u00a0 My sense is the trader and traders like him are focusing on the wrong problem.\u00a0 If you are focusing on the wrong problem, you cannot improve.\u00a0 And I know this trader, and traders like him, really wanted to improve.\u00a0 I had a different take and shared it.\u00a0 This different take would get the trader working on the right solution to fix this trading challenge.<\/p>\n Bella’s take<\/strong><\/p>\n My take is these decisions are made easier in real-time if you have a preset system for these trades.\u00a0 You do not want to leave too much to your whims of a particular moment in real-time.<\/p>\n Traders should develop a standard PlayBook for each trade AND how to add on each trade.\u00a0 When a trade is working, you want to have a system for how you will add AND THEN the parameters for when you would add.\u00a0 Trading paralysis in real-time comes from not having this system in place.<\/p>\n When you have this PlayBook, this system in place, then you just react.\u00a0 You beat trading paralysis.<\/p>\n More importantly, your focus shifts to a more constructive mindset.\u00a0 In short, you now think about doing the right thing.\u00a0 You move away from worrying about whether the trade will be profitable, and all the other worries-<\/p>\n Am I going to lose money?<\/p>\n Should I be in this trade?<\/p>\n Am I too big?<\/p>\n Am I good at this trade?<\/p>\n Should I take profits now?<\/p>\n Where is the right stop?<\/p>\n Is that the right stop?<\/p>\n Would Shark be in this trade?…<\/p>\n to whether you are doing the right thing.\u00a0 That right thing is to put on more risk, in the example above from this trader.<\/p>\n If you have not done this before the trade entry, this leaves you too much to think about in real-time.\u00a0 Think about it.\u00a0 The market is moving fast.\u00a0 You are in the moment of processing a heck of a lot of data.\u00a0 You are stressed from the potential to make or lose money.\u00a0 Your job is to do the right thing and NOT to make money.\u00a0 Put yourself in the best position to do the right thing by determining a preset system for the trade.<\/p>\n And one more observation about all of this.\u00a0 Be specific.\u00a0 No, be super specific.\u00a0 Be super specific about when you will add, why you will add, how much you will add, and where you will stop out.\u00a0 Be specific about how much risk it is now the right thing to do to put on.\u00a0 No, be super specific.<\/p>\n Below is a very special treat for you.\u00a0 We have never shared anything like this with the trading community.\u00a0 I had to get special permission from the traders in the room and remotely on the call to share this with you.\u00a0 We do not release these monthly review meetings, which you are about to watch.<\/p>\n Below is the raw footage of this conversation, during a monthly meeting, with a trader on our desk.\u00a0 These are real conversations we have with traders.\u00a0 With good traders.\u00a0 With pro traders.\u00a0 I hope you enjoy this sneak peak inside our training room of a monthly review at the firm.<\/p>\n *I am wearing a ski hat because the room is cold and I get cold easily.\u00a0 I told you…the footage is raw and real.<\/p>\n Raw Footage of an SMB Monthly Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n
