He does nothing.\u00a0 Then comes an important expected oil number.\u00a0 Crude stockpiles had increased.\u00a0 A decidedly bad development for the price of oil as supply was higher.\u00a0 Traders would expect a lower move in oil.<\/p>\n<p>What happened?\u00a0 Oil did not trade lower!<\/p>\n<p>Now Trader A saw from the price action after a news event that his thesis was correct.\u00a0 He bought aggressively.\u00a0 Trader A finished the trading day up 20k.\u00a0 Let\u2019s call this The Good (in his trading).<\/p>\n<p>Same trader.\u00a0 Same seat.\u00a0 Same account.\u00a0 Same platform.\u00a0 Same firm.\u00a0 Same everything.\u00a0 Well expect for one thing&#8230;.this time Trader A had a thesis and this thesis was confirmed by the price action after a news catalyst hit the market.<\/p>\n<p>Just look at the difference in results from this same trader.\u00a0 See the <i>clear difference<\/i> between his trading on Tuesday and Thursday.\u00a0 Often there are very real differences between The Sloppy and The Good in your trading.<\/p>\n<p>You build a trading career from The Good. \u00a0Study The Good.\u00a0 Know The Good.<\/p>\n<p>*no relevant trading positions<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/tradingworkshop.com\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-42831\" src=\"https:\/\/www.smbtraining.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/smbwebinarsignup.jpg\" alt=\"tradingworkshop\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let me share actual trading events from our prop desk this week.
