Below is his latest post for the SMB trading community.***** \u2014 Editor\u2019s Note<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Traders make decisions under conditions of uncertainty.\u00a0In\u00a0doing so\u00a0traders must face head on any number of fears related to those decisions.\u00a0 Whether in life outside the charts or the decisions made within, doubt will rear its ugly head, especially when risk of monetary loss\u00a0is\u00a0present.\u00a0\u00a0 As traders, doubt can keep us from\u00a0committing money to our edge, keep us in losers longer than planned, keep us in winners longer than necessary, and keep us from sticking with a process when things are not going so well.\u00a0 The following resources can help us gain the proper perspective on doubt as we realize that doubt may never be eliminated but it can be managed.<\/p>\n<p>Almost everyone has serious moments of\u00a0<a style=\"color: #1155cc;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/forbesleadershipforum\/2012\/04\/23\/seven-steps-to-conquering-self-doubt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">self-doubt<\/a>\u00a0at some point in his or her career.<\/p>\n<p>When\u00a0<a style=\"color: #1155cc;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.com\/helene-lerner\/self-confidence_b_2490605.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">doubting yourself<\/a>\u00a0rears its ugly head, here are ways to put down the monster.<\/p>\n<p>It makes sense that if your parent continually told you that your thoughts and feelings were wrong, that you were too sensitive, that you should not question that parent, that you are not good enough no matter how hard you try&#8230; you might still be somewhat haunted by\u00a0self-doubt.<\/p>\n<p>If we\u2019re being\u00a0<a style=\"color: #1155cc;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.traderplanet.com\/articles\/view\/166662-5-ways-to-boost-belief-in-your-trading\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">overcome with doubt<\/a>\u00a0our minds have a habit of looking for supporting evidence to back itself up, giving our negative inputs legs.<\/p>\n<p>Neuro-imaging studies have shown that when people\u00a0<a style=\"color: #1155cc;\" href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/news\/articles\/SB10001424052748704111504576059823679423598\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">consider problems<\/a>\u00a0mindfully, they use additional brain circuits beyond those that simply involve problem-solving.<\/p>\n<p>After you find a stock you like, but before you place the trade, doubt can creep into your decision.
