It is not in my DNA.\u00a0 If we were playing pickup basketball I would be the point guard and not the scorer.\u00a0 You may have noticed when SMB goes on CNBC I stay at the office.\u00a0 I pray to the trading gods everyday for Steve to become increasingly noticed, which he has.\u00a0 Or GMan.\u00a0 Or Seth.  Or Alex.  Or Shark.  Or Sammy.\u00a0\u00a0 So today brought me much joy as I witnessed and participated in multiple examples of leveraging the talent of other traders.<\/p>\n<p>Today Seth introduced me to an options trainee who had made the trip into NYC from Scranton.  Steve and I both joked to the visitor during separate introductions about Scranton being the home of Dunder Mifflin. \u00a0 Seth beamed like a proud parent about this trader presenting at his his last Options Tribe meeting.\u00a0 A new earnings trade had been developed by his student and shared with the trading community.\u00a0 A trade that Seth and the community could now use but only if they first were receptive to leveraging the talents of others.<\/p>\n<p>Also today before our 2pm review a new trader was explaining how we had used technicals to attack the trading day to our newest trainees (SPY).\u00a0 I walked into the meeting and then walked out as our mentees were in good hands learning from a former trainee. \u00a0 A few minutes later I heard a knock at my door from an intern signaling it was time for my feedback on a trade.\u00a0 I passed and had my part of the review cancelled.\u00a0 I can do that review with me offering feedback later.\u00a0 This was an opportunity for new traders to learn from another new trader and for me to stay in my office writing this blog.\u00a0 Let the traders learn by leveraging the talents of others.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday I mandated that no one ought to leave for the trading day without sending me a trade to review and an intraday example of a real-time psychology struggle.\u00a0 Our floor manager quickly improved this training by tweaking my request.\u00a0 Real-time plans for trades were added which immediately improved the review for trainees.\u00a0 My idea was good but his idea was better.<\/p>\n<p>You might notice that at the end of many of my blogs I ask for you feedback.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 I am hoping you can find value in my thoughts but make my thoughts better.
