Mike, I’m in the first day of the equities foundation course and I have a quick question: What trading software is currently being used for intraday? Is this something that I get access to through SMB?

We use proprietary trading software Gr8 trade. It is only available to our in-house traders on our prop desk in NYC.
Trading on proprietary software is a business shift for SMB. Internally we concluded that our traders needed to trade on proprietary software to make the most P&L. This was not true for perhaps the first four years we ran SMB. Today you cannot miss your best setups. You must have individualized filters that find your best setups. You must have the ability to build auto strategies without the necessity to code. You must have access to quant support to help with your auto trading and individual filters. You must have access to all of the dark pools for best execution. You must be able to express your favorite setups in multiple products, like options.
You can be better tomorrow than you are today!

Yes,people should have day trading but before that they should make some strategies that how much to spend on such things.If there is small business then they can start with small amt. after that if there is good response from such thing budget can be increased.
