  1. lots of good points. i really think alot of frustrated traders like myself are way too caught up in trying to execute a style of trading (support/resistance plays, lvl 2 reading, momentum, range) rather than recognizing what is the pattern of the market which I can adapt and take advantage of.

  2. Hi Gman, nice to see you back.

I am getting wicked a lot by hft. I having difficulty identifying what is hft on the tape (in real time — in hindsight it is easy).

I am having to take more risk and when i am wrong I get screwed more. Like you my biases are usually right, however when I am wrong I take a bigger hit, because I am thinking it is hft and it turns out to be real.

I am trying to trust my bias more, which is difficult as I have trained myself to listen to what the market is telling me in real time. But the info is more confusing with hft in the mix.

Thanks for focusing on this hft issue. I know that the agile human mind can beat these things!

I hear where you are coming from — it also pisses me off to think that Goldman has my shares on a huge fast move.

    Comments appreciated
