Having traded over the last two decades, SMB understands that we are only as good as the stocks we are trading. Our AM Meeting is designed to ensure that our traders are in the Stocks in Play. Stocks In Play offer the most favorable risk/reward trading setups. These stocks have significant order flow which leads to advantageous intraday liquidity and volatility. Increased liquidity lowers our potential risk and increased volatility increases our potential reward. That is why we focus on these stocks.

During their initial training period SMB traders are taught a proprietary method on how to best identify the Stocks in Play. During our AM Meeting we discuss these stocks, which have been shared electronically on our desk through an AM Ideas Sheet. Often a trader will find that a better idea is presented at our AM Meeting than their own idea. At SMB we teach our traders to work together so they make more money individually.

Each stock that is discussed during our AM Meeting is displayed on our white board. SMB's partners and Senior Traders will offer comments on the most likely trading patterns for each stock.
